DARTMOUTH - They came clutching books to be signed and phones to take selfies. In the packed theater at UMass Dartmouth, they buzzed with excitement while they waited, then cheered on their feet when their U.S. senator took the stage. At the end of the night, they waited in a long line just to shake her hand.
There was no doubt about it: This was Elizabeth Warren's crowd.

People came from throughout southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island to spend a couple of hours with the outspoken Democratic legislator, who energetically tackled issues ranging from student loan debt to nuclear waste to net neutrality. Audience members steered the night, having been chosen at random to ask questions of the senator who will seek another term in 2018.
