FY2025 National Defense Authorization Act Requests

Senator Warren is now accepting Funding and Language requests for the FY2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) process. Funding and Language requests MUST be submitted electronically through the online portals linked below.

This form is NOT to be used for the submission of appropriations requests, which are considered by the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Our deadline for all FY2025 requests is March 12, 2024 at 6:30pm ET.

Any entities that submitted requests during the FY2024 process, regardless of if they were included in the FY24 NDAA, are required to re-submit applications for FY2025.

NDAA Funding Requests

NDAA Funding Requests are designed to identify high-impact projects in Massachusetts that strengthen national security and can reach completion with assistance from the federal government.

NDAA Language Requests

NDAA Language Requests are general language requests for national and regional programs, and/or bill and report language requests that directs, encourages, or urges an Agency or Department to carry out an action.

All applications must be submitted electronically through the portal linked below. A copy of the required questions is available for download here. All language requests must be submitted by  March 12, 2024 at 6:30 pm ET.

Congressionally Directed Spending Requests FY2025

Senators Warren and Markey submitted the following Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) federal funding requests to the Senate Appropriations Committee for important community projects in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Under guidelines issued by the Senate Appropriations Committee, each Senator may request CDS funding for projects in their state for fiscal year 2025. However, only a small number of these proposals may actually receive federal funding. CDS requests are restricted to a limited number of federal funding streams, and only state and local governments and eligible non-profit entities are permitted to receive CDS funding.

In compliance with Senate Rules and Senate Appropriations Committee requirements, Members are required to post CDS requests 15 days after the subcommittee deadline for submitting requests. Members must also certify in writing that they are not pursuing any request to further his or her financial interest or that of his or her immediate family. Members must also certify in writing that they are not pursuing any CDS request for a for-profit entity.

In total, the following information must be disclosed publicly:

  • Member name & state
  • Recipient name
  • Project purpose
  • Project location
  • Amount requested
  • Financial certification letter
