Save Our Schools

Donald Trump promised to abolish the Department of Education in his presidential campaign. Now, he’s doing everything he can to follow through on that promise.

Shutting down the Department of Education means teachers could be laid off, class sizes could go up, afterschool programs could be cut, it’ll be harder to access financial aid to go to college, and programs that help kids with special needs could go away.

Donald Trump is a billionaire who doesn’t know how much these programs mean to people – which is why if you have a favorite memory from public school, you could only go to school because you got financial aid, or you have any story that can remind people why we need to save these programs, share it now.

While Senator Warren does everything she can in Congress to stop Trump from dismantling the Department of Education, she knows that one of the best ways to fight back is to share your stories to make what’s happening in Washington real for everyday people. That’s why Senator Warren and her team are collecting stories about how they have been personally helped by the agency.

Senator Warren’s very first job was as a public school teacher for kids with special needs. She saw with her own eyes what the Department of Education does for families. Now, tell us your story.

Senator Warren and her team will use these stories to inform their work protecting the Department of Education. In the event that we’d like to share your story with the public, we will contact you directly to seek permission.
