Warren, Markey, Campbell Applaud Julia Kobick’s Confirmation to U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts
Washington, D.C. – United States Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) and Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell released the following statements after the Senate voted to confirm Massachusetts Deputy State Solicitor Julia Kobick to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the 150th Biden-nominated judge to be confirmed by the Senate:
“We are delighted that the Senate confirmed Julia Kobick to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, where she will continue to serve our Commonwealth with intellect, integrity, and sound judgment. Kobick, whose dedicated public service at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office exemplifies her commitment to equal justice, is now the 150th judge and 100th woman nominated by President Biden to be confirmed by the Senate. In this critical moment, it’s powerfully important that the Senate accelerates the pace of confirming President Biden’s nominees to our federal judiciary,” said Senators Warren and Markey.
