Senator Warren Announces Alex Sarabia as Communications Director

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) announced that Alex Sarabia joined her office as Communications Director. Sarabia joins Warren’s office after serving as Communications Director and Senior Advisor for Congressman Joaquin Castro (TX-20). He previously worked on Secretary Julián Castro and Senator Warren’s presidential campaigns, for San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg, and at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development during the Obama administration.

“I’m glad to welcome Alex back to our team. Alex is an experienced professional in both public policy and strategic communications who will immediately contribute to advancing our priorities,” said Senator Warren. “As the son of a public school teacher, I know he fights from the heart.”

“I’ve long admired Senator Warren and I couldn’t be happier for the opportunity to work on her team again. She understands better than anyone the urgency of this moment to deliver for working families. I’m looking forward to the righteous fights ahead,” added Sarabia. “I’ll miss working with Congressman Castro who first hired me in D.C. as a college intern, and I deeply appreciate his mentorship over the years.”

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Alex Sarabia is a graduate of Boston College and earned a master’s in public policy from the University of Chicago.
