Senator Warren's Statement on the Nomination of Peter Oppenheim

Washington, DC - Senator Warren released a statement today on the nomination of Peter Oppenheim to serve as Assistant Secretary for Legislation and Congressional Affairs at the Department of Education (ED).

"I supported Mr. Oppenheim's nomination because he committed to do everything within his power to obtain substantive, complete, thorough, and timely responses to my oversight letters-and the oversight of all Members of Congress," Senator Warren said. "I'm going to hold Mr. Oppenheim accountable to his commitments, and I look forward to working with him to rebuild lines of communications with the Department."
