The Springfield Republican: Elizabeth Warren, Katherine Clark laud passage of opioid prescription partial fill measure
U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and U.S. Rep. Katherine Clark, D-Melrose, praised Congress this week for including language that allows partial filling of opioid prescriptions in its final passage of the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act.
Warren said Congressional lawmakers took a positive step toward addressing opioid abuse by including the language in the bill that aims to reduce the number of prescription pills in circulation.
"This bipartisan language will empower patients and doctors to work together to determine appropriate pain treatment, while limiting the number of unused pills left in family medicine cabinets," she said in a statement.
