ROXBURY - With the aim of helping Massachusetts businesses find partnership opportunities with government agencies and contractors, U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren's office is hosting a mixer in Roxbury on March 24.
Called the "Massachusetts Business Matchmaker," the event is open to a variety of businesses from across the Bay State which are seeking opportunities to grow by contracting with government agencies.
"Small business owners are tireless, hard workers who are a vital part of our economy and our federal supply chain, and their companies are founded by strong people with good ideas and a determination to succeed," Warren said in announcing the event. "We have a lot of terrific small businesses here in Massachusetts, and I want to be sure that every one of them knows about opportunities to work with the federal government-and I want the federal government to know more about our small businesses."
The event is being held to provide a forum for contractors and government agencies to meet one-on-one with qualified small business owners, and to allow small businesses to highlight their services and goods and learn how to take advantage of business opportunities with the federal government.
Warren's office said government attendees will include officials from the General Services Administration, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other federal agencies.
The event, which will take place at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center on theRoxbury Community College campus is scheduled to take place on Monday, March 24 from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. Pre-registration is required and can be completed online here.
