Everett Independent: U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren Reads to Keverian School Students

Second and third graders at the George Keverian School in Everett welcomed U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren into their classroom on Friday, February 28 to help celebrate the National Education Association's "Read Across America Day."
Senator Warren read"Sneetches" and other Dr. Seuss classics to young students as part of Everett's district-wide participation in "Read Across America Day." Other celebrity readers in Everett included WBZ-TV news anchor Paula Ebben and WBZ-TV meteorologist Danielle Niles. The largest reading event in the United States, "Read Across America Day coincides with the birthday of Dr. Seuss and encourages schools to promote reading through a variety of activities and programs.
