Warren Statement on Israel-Hamas Ceasefire Deal

Washington, D.C. – In response to the Biden-Harris administration's announcement of a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren released the below statement: 

“I'm relieved to hear that a ceasefire deal has been reached, and that hostages—including the Americans who were ripped from their families—are coming home. This deal took far too long, but we are ready to welcome the hostages home with open arms.

“Even as we welcome this deal, we cannot rest until the ceasefire is permanent, Hamas releases all hostages, and we achieve lasting peace with a two-state solution. We need immediate humanitarian aid in the region to provide life-saving medical care, and to begin to rebuild lives and communities.”
