Senator Warren Statement on Trump Nominating Howard Lutnick as Commerce Secretary

Washington, D.C. – Today, in response to the news that President-elect Donald Trump has named Howard Lutnick to serve as U.S. Secretary of Commerce, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) released the following statement: 

“Donald Trump’s pick of a Wall Street CEO for Commerce Secretary is a win for the billionaire class at the expense of working people. The across-the-board tariff plan is a distraction from the MAGA scam to extend tax giveaways for giant corporations and billionaires like Howard Lutnick.”
